Hong Kong's aging population presents both challenges and opportunities for the elderly care sector. This talk will provide an update on elderly care provision in Hong Kong, focusing on the evolving landscape from the perspective of a small Residential Care Homes for the Elderly (RCHE) operator.
We will explore key developments in policies and industry trends. The discussion will also share new approach to enhance service quality and meet the needs of an aging population.
This session would be valuable for students interested in gerontology, healthcare management, and social policy. It aims to share a pragmatic view of elderly care provision in Hong Kong and encourage dialogue on how different stakeholders can work together to improve the sector.
About the Speaker:
Jordan founded Silvermorph with the vision to improve elderly care through innovation and operations excellence. He also co-founded Silvermorph Charity, a non-profit with the mission of focusing on the experience of getting old and being old. Prior to founding Silvermorph's, Jordan had various commercial and technical roles across the globe.
Jordan's mom had been a RCHE operator for over 35 years and he joined the family business in 2019. Jordan was born and raised in Hong Kong, holds MS and BS in Mechanical Engineering from University of Minnesota - Twin Cities, and MBA from Cornell University.
