HKUST Center for Aging Science Participated in the BOC Life 9th Golden Age Expo & Summit

HKUST Center for Aging Science participated in the BOC Life 9th Golden Age Expo & Summit (GAES) on August 2-4, 2024 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. The Center's booth at the GAES Expo showcased research projects of HKUST faculties, including humanoid robotic health assistant, a mobile app for dementia assessment, and a virtual life space intervention.

Prof. Bert SHI, Director of the Center for Aging Science, was invited to deliver a talk titled "Supporting Medical Staff with Humanoid Robotics" under the session of "Unlocking Sustainable Talents" on the third day of the Summit. The session recording is available here.

Prof. Ge Lin KAN, Head and Professor of the Thrust of Urban Governance and Design of HKUST (GZ), was interviewed by CCTV about his project on virtual life space intervention. The full media coverage by CCTV is available here.

The GAES attracted over 40,000 visitors from more than 12 countries and areas. The Summit, Smart Aging Zone sessions and Smart Aging Workshops featured nearly 120 international and local speakers, covering a wide spectrum of topics on smart aging. The Expo featured over 200 expo members who showcased the latest products, services and solutions from different parts of the world.
